New Delhi: Five people died and at least two disappeared after several houses flattened with heavy rain after Cloudburst in a village along the Indian-Nepal border in the Pithoragarh district, reported Punetha Prem.
Two seriously injured people were also flown to the hospital on Monday.
According to officials in the district disaster control room, a Cloudburst on Sunday caused several houses to collapse in the village, trapping residents.
Teams of the power of state disaster response, SSB, police and income officials conducted search and rescue operations on Monday.
Pithoragarh DM Ashish Chauhan told Toi that six houses were broken in Cloudburst.
