Pune: Five people were killed and five were injured after a truck hit a car and two motorcycles on Jalan Pune-Ahmednagar on Sunday night, said Pune police officials said.
The incident took place around 7pm near Shikrapur, police said.
The deceased includes a partner traveling with one of the motorbikes.
Six people were in the car, including three killed in place and three were hospitalized.
Two people, who were on another motorcycle, hit the car and were injured.
They were also undergoing hospital treatment, police said.
“The truck was speeding and crossed to the wrong side breaking the divider and crashing into a car and two-wheeled,” police said.
