KABUL: Eastern Province Nangarhar witnessed many attacks in the city of Jalalabad on Wednesday which resulted in the death of five people, reported Tolo News.
Four explosions in various parts of the city took the lives of two people and injured three others, eyewitnesses told Tolo News.
Those who were injured had been transferred to the hospital in the center of the province.
Meanwhile, attacks of armed men in the area near the former government border forces resulted in three people killed.
There is no detail obtained on the attack target in question.
The head of the Information and Cultural Department of Nangarhar Province said that all those killed and injured were civilians and no Taliban troops were harmed in the attack, reported Tolo News.
So far, there are no groups that claim responsibility for explosions or attacks by gunmen.
But earlier this week, Daesh claimed responsibility for the previous explosion in Nangarhar.
Daesh also claims responsibility for the explosion outside Kabul airport in August.
The attack followed a repeat statement by Zabihullah Mujahid, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Information and Culture, that the Daesh movement in Afghanistan was not a threat to the Taliban.
Mujahid also said that Taliban troops had the ability to fight Daesh.
The country fell into the crisis last month after Kabul fell to the Taliban and the government of former President Ashraf Ghani was elected democratically collapsed.
