Pune: Small hospitals and nursing homes try to get a covid vaccine through Cowin won’t get it until the stock with other private health hubs in Pune District, especially large sets, will be used.
The meeting of state health officials on Thursday revealed that around 5 doses of Lakh vaccines are currently lying with private hospitals in this district.
According to Cowin, 76,932 beneficiaries vaccinated in the district on Thursday.
“Rational is simple.
In accordance with the vaccine allocation policy, the state government gives 25% of the shares from its kind to a private hospital for vaccinations at fixed costs per dose and using the remaining 75% at the vaccination center issued by the state / city corporation for free.

Small settings that are competing to start vaccination centers where they carry the load from the stock lying not to use.

Sanjay Patil, Chair of the Indian Medical Medical Association Hospital from India, a small hospital association said, “Many small hospitals were disappointed because they did not get a vaccine dose through Cowin.
Many are choosing to get out of the drive because of despair.” Small hospitals and Nursing homes have a key role to be played in pumping vaccinations.
“Decentralized vaccination is the key to covering the maximum population.
Approaching the neighborhood nursing house is more comfortable than crashing a long distance to get a shot at a big hospital,” said Patil.
Deputy Medical Director of Bharati Hospital, Jitendra Oswal, said, “People choose vaccines free of charge, rather than paying money for shots in private hospitals.
That is the reason why big stocks lie not used with private hospitals.
We barely vaccinate around 400 People now and are left with 35,000 doses.
“District on Wednesday (July 13) received nearly 1.08 doses of lakh covishield, which said health officials would help in providing a big boost for vaccine coverage in the region.
“District Pune is likely to get 25,000 doses on Friday,” Dishmukh said.
