Greater Noida: Badun Police on Friday arrested five members of the vehicle lifting gang which allegedly executed at least two jumps using the same modus operandi in the Gautam Budh Nagar area in the past month.
The defendant has been identified as Nazim, Rahul, Pankaj, Mohsin and Nafees.
According to the police, the first incident occurred on June 17 when the original Sanjay Madhya Pradesh had alleged that the five accused of posting their taxes from Anand Vihar Delhi to Pari Chowk but fled by vehicle.
The accusation had asked Sanjay to stop the vehicle somewhere in the parking station park the knowledge when one of them claimed he had to answer natural calls.
However, they fled with a taxi after supporting Sanjay as soon as he stopped the taxi.
On June 28, Rajendra, a taxi driver, was looking for passengers near the Anand Vihar bus stand and three men ordered their taxes for Pari Chowk Area at around 12:30 a.m.
Rajender said, “One of them sat in the passenger seat while the others sat behind.
After some time, they asked me to stop, and drag me out at the weapon point.
They then went by car.” Rajendra then complained to the police.
DCP (middle noida) Harish Chander said that based on the cellphone number provided by Rajendra, the car was traced to Budaun.
The modus operandi used in two incidents was the same and we told our BADAUN partner.
Budaun SP Sankalp Sharma said that they had arrested the defendant and they had acknowledged the crime.
The fake pistol and two taxis including Wagonr looted from Rajendra and Dzire Swift looted from Sanjay have recovered from them.
