Ghaziabad: A total of five oxygen generator plants, including four governments, were inaugurated on Thursday.
With this, nine of the 11 factories in the government hospital have become functional.
Both factories at Loni Chc Hospital and the Women’s District have not been inaugurated.
On Thursday, Minister of Union Gen (RTD) VK Singh inaugurated oxygen plants in four governments and one private hospital.
Among them are the oxygen generation factory consisting of 1,000 LPM (liters per minute) at the MMG 166-bed district hospital, which is also the largest in this district.
The district hospital now has two oxygen plants.
Previously, the factory capacity of 150 LPM was installed through CSR funds.
Along with this, the oxygen plant was inaugurated at a Joint Hospital of Regency (500 LPM), CHC Muradnagar (200 LPM), CHC DASNA (330 LPM) and CLARMEDI Hospital and Cancer Center, Vasundhara.
This is the third oxygen factory to be functional in a joint hospital.
Singh said the biggest problem in the second wave of Covid was the lack of oxygen supply.
“The center and the state government together take this initiative and announce to establish new oxygen plants throughout the country.
Below the same, 11 oxygen plants are approved in nine government medical units in the district,” he added.
