Patna: East Central Railway (ECR) has begun the process of rebuilding five stations – Rajendra Nagar Terminal, Junction Style, Begusarai, Muzaffarpur and Singrauli – in public-private partnership mode (PPP).
Railway Development Authority (RLDA) has been assigned to implement a quick plan to provide world-class status to these stations as expected by the train board.
Head of Public Relations Public Relations ECR (CPRO) Rajesh Kumar said about 123 selected stations for rebuilding throughout the country, five A-Class stations came from ECR.
“The train has floated tenders for recent return plants.
Some companies based in India and India have expressed interest in the plan to rebuild the train station,” he said.
“Rajendra Terminal, which has been declared neatly maintained and the eco-friendly train station in the country, has extensive open space on the front side.
This open space can be developed with facilities such as Mall, Cinema Hall, Walking Track, and other entertainment facilities, “Division Danapur Train Manager (DRM) Sunil Kumar.
According to DRM, Terminal Rajendra Nagar is likely to get direct connectivity from the Metro Rail service in the future such as the ajmeri gate in New Delhi.
“Under the plan, Railways has decided to increase the open circulation area of Rajendra Nagar terminal for Metro Rail connectivity,” he said.
CPRO said the blueprint had been done for these stations in the pattern of facilities available at various airports.
“The train has allocated RS 175 Crore to rebuild Junction style only.
Based on anticipated population in 2065, the train intends to develop junction style as a world-class station,” he added.
CPRO adds five selected stations will get facilities such as proper ventilation, small rooms, ATMs, ATMs, Food Court, and Commercial Complexes.
“There will be no movement of trolley luggage parcel on the platform.
Passengers can make easy movements at the station.
The spacious parking area at these stations can be used for commercial purposes,” he said.
