5 Trekkers found dead, 4 lost, 2 saved

Shimla: Five Trekker, the trekking of Harsil in the Uttarkashi district of Utttrakhand to Chhitkul in Kinnaur District in Himachal Pradesh, was found dead on Thursday.
Four trekkers from the group were still lost while the other two were saved by the rescue team consisting of army and ITBP personnel in Kinnaur Regency.
The trekker’s body will be flown to Uttarkashi on Friday because bad weather prevents helicopter sorts on Thursday.
The area where the trekker was lost covered under four foot snow.
Team Trekking 11 members consist of eight trekkers and three chefs, along with several porter.
While the coolies reached Chhitkul, the trekkers and and chefs were left stranded in the snow.
Two days ago there was a snowstorm in Kinnaur.
It speculates that if the trekker will stop under the cover of the cave built in the mountains, they will be safe.
But these people are under the grip of snow and storm.
On Wednesday, 11 people, including eight tourists, missing.
The Uttarakhand government has told the government of Himachal Pradesh about the loss of this team at Lamkhaga Pass Peak located at an altitude of about 20,000 feet above sea level.
After that the Kinnaur administration launched a rescue operation with the help of the Army, ITBP and the police.
According to information, a team of eight tourists from West Bengal and other places had gone from Harsil on October 11 through a trekking agent.
The team has also taken a line permit from the Ministry of Forestry, Uttarkashi for Trekking from 13 to 21 October to Lamkhaga Pass.
From 17 to 19 October, the team was lost due to bad weather.
Deputy Commissioner, Kinnaur, Abid Hussain Sadiq said that on Wednesday night an information was received by around 11 tourists, who came towards Chhitkul from Uttarkashi on October 17, stuck in the snow.
He said that soon after receiving information, officials of Indo-Tibetan border police forces were contacted and rescue and assistance work began on Thursday morning by Army and ITBP soldiers.
He said that ITBP personnel began rescue and search operations from Nithal Thach in the middle of a three and a half foot snow while the troops also carried out air rescue operations with the help of helicopters.
He said that during the search operation, the rescue team found tourists and guides were trapped and stranded in the snow.
He said that with the help of helicopters, this tourist was flown to Uttarkashi while a guide with the army and he would be flown on Friday.
He said that during search operations in the snow, the relief team and rescue restored 5 tourist bodies from various places, which will also be collected in one place and sent to Uttarkashi with a helicopter on Friday.
He said that there were still four other lost tourists and two saved people had said they would come to Himachal Pradesh.
He said that after 2 pm on Thursday, because of bad weather, helicopter flights could not occur and because of this assistance and rescue work was stopped and now the army helicopter and ITBP from will continue the operation of aid and rescue at 6:30 in the morning.
