5 was held to harass the woman from Darjeeling

New Delhi: The days after a 30-year-old woman and her friends were allegedly harassed by a group of men in the Hauz Village of Southwest Delhi, police said on Thursday they had caught five accused in this case.

The victims had gone to a restaurant at night and waited outside for a taxi when the suspects were allegedly accused of being identified as Dinesh Ram (34), a Jhansi resident above; Ashish Shivhare (39), Vikas Shivhare (38), Naveen Shivhare (41) and Ankit Shivhare (29), all residents of Chattarpur in Madhya Pradesh, they said.
According to the police, they received a telephone number accused of investigating and called them to the national capital after informing that complaints had been accepted against them.
Interrogation revealed that the defendant returned after visiting Vaishno Devi Temple in Jammu and Kashmir.
Tied to their train for Madhya Pradesh from Delhi scheduled to depart at 4am on July 19.
Because they had time, the defendant went to Hauz Village typical, where the incident occurred, said a senior police officer.
All five defendants are mutually known.
They were not involved in any case before.
Two of them run their DJ business and the other two did the tent house business, police said.
The incident occurred in the Hauz area typical of Southwest Delhi on the night of Intervention 18 and 19 July when the victim along with three friends – all Darjeeling residents in West Bengal – were waiting for a taxi outside the bar.
Three to four people made obscene comments about them, according to complaints submitted on July 21 at the Safdarjung Enclave police station.
An annoyed complainant, police said, added: He shouted at men and made their videos.
Then, their taxis arrived and the women left the area.
On the basis of complaints, cases under Section 509 (Word, movement or laws intended to insult the simplicity of a woman) from the Indian Criminal Code (IPC) submitted.
Videos made by a complainant posted on social media, encouraging Delhi commission for women (DCW) to issue notifications to the police, asking them to register fir.
In that video, women can be heard about indecent comments, while men can be seen apologizing for the comments they have made before the woman started recording.
