BARASAT: A five-year-old boy was killed in a firecracker’s explosion in the 24 District of Pargana Bengal Bengal Barat, police said on Wednesday.
The incident occurred in Barpol in the Barasat police station area on Tuesday when several boys turned on the ‘chocolate bomb’ and put it in the metallic box.
The explosion lasts and a piece of metal piercing a fifth-year-old boy who stood nearby, said an officer.
He rushed to a new state public hospital, where the doctor said he died, he said, he added that the body had been sent for post-mortem examination and further investigation.
