Kolkata: A five-year-old boy from Patna was saved from Alipore Zoo on Monday when he was found hanging around the tiger cage itself.
The boy tried to climb the rail to get a better view, when a zoo saw him around 11 in the morning.
“We asked the boy about his parents but he could not answer.
We even made an announcement of the lost child but none of the crowds responded.
Then we told the local police station and handed it to the police,” said an official zoo.
The Watgunge police station officer said that the boy told them that he had left his house in Patna alone and ride the train to Kolkata.
Once arrived in the city, he somehow reached the Alipore Zoo and entered the complex to keep an eye on his favorite animal.
“We have contacted Patna police and have submitted the child’s welfare committee to children in Bengal, who treated the boy, until we could find his parents.
The boy could not tell us his parents’ name, address or telephone number.
We have sent the detail of the boy Together with his photo to the police Bihar and was checking complaints lost from young children in the past few days, “said an officer of the Watggunge police station.
