’50 CCTV cameras in each village after Pancrayat’s polls’

Patna: Department of Raj Pancayati Department Samrat Chaudhary on Saturday said CCTV cameras, other related accessories and road lights will be used to track antisocial elements and also prevent the occurrence of violating laws in villages.
“The purpose behind the installation of CCTV cameras in each village is to track land mafia and liquor and also control their activities.
This technology device will also assist in the prevention of atrocities against women in the countryside,” Chaudhary said, adding that CCTV cameras will be installed at 50 Nodal points in each village.
Similarly, street lights will also include most villages.
He spoke with the media to the state BJP headquarters as part of the Sahyog Party program.
The state has more than 8,000 pancires and around 48,000 villages.
He said the supervision of technology from each village would be carried out as part of the move to have smart villages in the state.
Chaudhary said the installation of CCTV cameras and street lights in each village will begin after the completion of the ongoing Panchayat election, whose results will come out on December 14.
After the results, Gazette notifications will be made, followed by a formal constitution.
Three Level Pancayati Raj Bodies – Panchayats, Panchayat Samitis and Zila Parishads.
“After all this is finished, installation of technology devices and street lights in each village will begin,” Chaudhary said.
He said that the finance pooling needed for the purpose would not be difficult, because every Mukhiya had his RS1-2 crore to be spent based on central assistance.
The Green Fund will also be used to improve environmental conditions in villages, such as plastic recycling and solid waste management.
