50 Forest Personnel Deployed After Scare Leopard in the Village

Coimbatore: Only four days after the male leopard was arrested from a warehouse in BK Pudur here, some leopard sightings gave sleepless nights for forest officials in the Tirupur district.

The department has deployed five teams, each consisting of 10 personnel, in Pongupalayam Village.
A total of 20 camera traps are also installed.
“Also, the frontline personnel department will look for animals in Pappankulam and Pongupalayam all the time,” said a forest officer.
