Patna: Unknown villains shoot dead sand traders near Matihani Chaur under the Mirganjan police station in the Gopalganj district in Wee Friday.
The deceased, was identified as Aniruddh Singh, 50, was a native of Bagra Village under the Hathua police station in Gopalganj.
Hathua Police Station Sho Vijay Singh said Singh had left home for Mirganj around 3am for some work related to the trade of sand in Gopalganj.
He said he was killed while returning home.
Miranj Police Station Sho Chhotan Kumar said when Singh did not reach the house even after a few hours or responding to a telephone call, his family members began to deceive him.
“Some villagers found his body near Matihani.” He was shot once in the chest.
