Mumbai: More than 500 Covid Treatment centers (CCC) have closed throughout the country after a consistent decline in Covid-19 cases over the past few months.
Data recently showed at this time around 2,083 CCC functions, down from 2,589 in August.
When the second wave took steps in April, the state has 2,220 CCC, which must be improved immediately up to 2,626 in May.
The state has recorded a peak active case in the range of 6-6.9 lakh between mid-April and May.
CCCS is used to quarantine patients without symptoms or positive with mild symptoms.
Schools, wedding rooms, offices and lecture classrooms are converted to CCC during the peak.
When the case began to see a decline, most of it was left back to their parent agent, said state officials.
The current country has 23,200 active cases, where 9,060 (39%) are in the hospital.
About 1,544 patients are in the temporary ICU more than 2,300 are on oxygen support.
State officials said Temporary CCC has been enhanced, the designated Covid Health Center (DCHC) and Special Covid Hospital (DCH) has been stored in readiness mode.
There are 3,046 DCHCS and 1,148 DCH in the state with more than 2 lakh beds.
Dr.
Pradeep kicked, the state surveillance officer, said the decision to close CCCS had been submitted to the local administrator.
“Collector districts and health officials make decisions about CCC based on their local cases and conditions.
Because of a significant decline, many of which close them to remain active also require resources,” he said.
The country, in one of the recent updates, said at least 20 districts have less than 100 active cases.
Among them, Nandurbar did not have one active case on Thursday.
While eight districts, including Bhandara, Gondia, Washim, Wardha, have cases in one digit.
Dr Avinash Aaher, District Health Officer (DHO) Washim, said they had closed 14 of the 18 CCC them in the past two months.
“We barely get one or two patients sporadically.
So, we decided to close them and restore the structure to the owner.
We sent positive patients to DCC now,” he said.
DR D S, DHO assistant from Jalgaon, said 90 of the CCC they had fully closed.
“We used to have 2-3 cases throughout the week.
However, if we need to start it in a short time,” he said.
In Mumbai, there are 80 CCC1 facilities where patient contacts are high and low shifted.
Of almost 16,000 beds, only 540 was occupied.
Facilities 182 CCC2 for asymptomatic patients have 25,000 beds which are only 1400-0dd occupied.
The state plan builds 60-70 field hospitals to serve patients throughout the year.
