5,000 schools fail to provide registration data for EWS, quoting confusion over a blank seat

Gurgaon: More than 5,000 Private schools recognized in the country have failed to provide data on the economically weaker registration and seats (EWS) which are empty below the Section of 134a from the Harmana School Education Regulations (Third Amendment) for the current academic session.
The Ministry of Education has now sent reminders to all private schools throughout the country to speed up the process of submitting data on the number of seats set aside below section 134a – under section, 10% of seats in private schools are provided for students under the poverty line (BPL) and EWS .
According to government estimates, there are 2.5 lakh seats provided for the EWS category in almost 8,700 private schools in the state.
So far, the Ministry of Education has received EWS registration data from around 3,500 schools only for 98,000 seats and has not verified how much of this is empty.
Safe! You have managed to throw your votelogin to see the results “The data we received is very misleading so far.
We cannot comment on how many empty seats until we get data from all schools.
There are high opportunities for double counting because few students may have taken reception at school -Secoir government without (the previous school released) school leaving the certificate.
We have directed the school to obey the order, “said a senior education department official.
School, on their side, has demanded clarification from the department regarding seats because some students have taken acceptance in government schools without taking SLCS.
“For the past two years, since the pandemic forced school to suspend the physical class, every student by default became an EWS student.
More than 50% of parents in most schools have not paid costs and losses running to Crores.
In addition, the government school has allowed revenue Without SLCS.
This has caused students to be enrolled in our schools and take acceptance in government schools, “Kulbhushan Sharma, President of the National Independent School Alliance, a private budget school body, told TII.
Meanwhile, parents call all these eyewash exercises.
“Students, who are looking for acceptance in February, are now registered in government schools.
They only completed their formality and there was no sincere intention to provide free education to EWS students,” said Kailash Sharma, Secretary General of Haryana Abhibhavak Ekta Mancha.
