JAIPUR: Cracking a dip on illegal smuggling of narcotics throughout lockdown stage, the CID-CB wing of Rajasthan authorities in last a month have captured nearly 533 pound of narcotics from several regions of the country such as Chittor and Nagaur. On Sunday in still another crackdown, the wing detained one smuggler and captured 512 kg of poppy husk in Chittor’s Nimbahera police station place. Acting on a particular input a group of CID-CB on Sunday detained one individual identified as Pukhraj (38) with illegal transport of 512 kg of poppy husk. “During interrogation we managed to find the titles of those accused who delivered the haul which was delivered in Nagaur. Here is the largest ever seizure within a day by people,” explained Suryaveer Singh, deputy superintendent of police, CID-CB. “Every single arrest in smuggling cases provides us direct on forthcoming smuggling of narcotics. We’ve seized nearly 533 kg of narcotics within 1 month. These arrests have resulted in the fore the smugglers’ fresh modus operandi since they’ve innovated new methods for hiding narcotics,” said Gaurav Srivasatav, (DIG), CID-CB. “We’re attempting to individuality smugglers busy in Chittor, Nagaur and other areas,” explained Pushpendra Singh, the DySP, CID-CB.
