New Delhi: Burned Burned incidents fell more than 51 percent this season so far compared to the period in accordance last year, according to the air quality management center commission (CAQM).
The panel said the enforcement agency had examined 8,575 sites in Punjab Regency, Haryana and NCR Uttar Pradesh and environmental compensation around Rs 58 lakh had been charged for burning plant residues.
“The burning ceremony of rice residues in Punjab, Haryana, NCR and Rajasthan and Delhi districts fell from 43,918 in 2020 to 21,364 in 2021 during the period 15 September to 2 November,” he said in a statement.
The reduction in the number of fires was 51.35 percent in the current year compared to the period in accordance last year.
Between October 27 and November 2 this year, only 12,853 agricultural fires have been recorded as 23,628 cases in the appropriate period of 2020 – a reduction of 10,775 cases (45.6 percent).
