Coimbatore: Only 516 applicants who managed to reach a list of eligible candidates to attend online counseling for part-time and btech programs offered by the Directorate of Technical Education (DOTE).
This means that only less than a third of seats tend to be filled with this academic year.
This list was released on Tuesday.
There are 1,465 part-time seats and btech available with nine engineering colleges in the state.
Three of them are universities assisted.
While a total of 1,011 applications are accepted to enter, only 516 are found to be eligible for online counseling.
They can pay the cost of counseling on or before October 8 8 staff with colleges approved by Dote have a 10% quota.
The chairs will be given to them, along with candidates who qualify for special reservations, based on their choice on October 8 itself.
From October 9-12, the remaining candidates can choose the choice of their programs and colleges.
