Jaipur: The omicron kasing rose to 174 as 53 people tested positive for the new Covid variant on Monday.
Jaipur reported 43 cases, Pratapgarh (4), two cases each from Ajmer and Udaipur while one case was respectively reported from Bharatpur and Bhilwara.
A health department official said that among 121 previous cases, 88 had recovered, while the remaining omicron patients were undergoing treatment in the Omicron Ward dedicated in their respective districts.
The Ministry of Health has found the history of foreign trips in nine, one is a contact of a foreign traveler, two people have made contact with Omicron and seven patients relating to covid patients.
Officials said that the head of medical health officers from each district had been told of new omicron cases in the district and their direction had been issued to carry out contacts and recognized patients at Omicron Wards.
