5,400 cases of waiting for the past 3 years, a new SIC plan to clean fat

Nagpur: Based on the Rights Law on Information (RTI), Government Institutions are bound to provide information within 30 days after receiving the application.
However, around 5,400 cases are waiting with the State Information Commission (SIC), including those from 2018 and 2019, defeating the purpose of the RTI Act.
The new state information commissioner appointed Rahul Pande has come up with a plan to remove all the cases that are delayed in a timely manner.
SiC has compiled wise year data waiting for the appeal and second complaint.
Just as, 4,422 appeals and 1,036 complaints (5,458 cases) were delayed.
“Notice is being sent to all.
Already, I have thrown around 65 cases.
At the end of November, those who are waiting from 2018 and 2019 will be completed.
Two days a week is reserved for cases of 2019, one day each for 2020 and 2021 , complaints and for the case of the Amravati division, “said Pande, which has been given an additional fee of the Amravati division where data is compiled.
Complaints 187 received in 2018 are waiting.
There were 575 second and 430 complaints in 2019, followed by 1,974 second and 254 complaints of 2020, and 1,873 second appeal and 165 complaints from 2021.
About 50% (2,195 out of a total of 4,422) waiting for the second appeal from Nagpur Regency and remaining Of the five other division districts.
Pande added he planned to hold a wise audience for fast disposal.
“Data is being prepared accordingly.
This will be convenient for citizens and officials,” he said.
Pande also said he planned to hold an audience in district places.
“The second appeal from Gadchiroli Regency is very small.
We plan to visit the district and hold an audience for one or two days,” he said.
The hybrid session is also being considered.
“We are a hearing case and chronological complaints.
Replies from the relevant departments are being searched.
Back Office also works very hard to ensure compliance with all orders,” said Pande.
Previously, activists were used to complain about delays in getting orders.
Pande says now orders will be available in a week or 10 days.
“Copies of orders will be available online,” he said.
Pande is probably the first sic of the city.
Over the past two years, no full-time Sic for the Nagpur Division.
The additional cost of the office here is given to other sic.
