55% professional employed feel stress: LinkedIn

New Delhi: Amid the change in the world of work and work in the last 18 months, more than half (55%) of professionals employed in India feel stressed at work, according to the survey of new labor confidence index by LinkedIn.
When asked about the main reasons for work stress, imbalances of work life, inadequate income and slow career progress emerged as the main cause.
About 34% professional quoting balancing works with personal needs as a major factor, 32% said it did not produce enough money and 25% said it was a slow career progress.
This survey includes 3,881 professionals who were employed and carried out from July 31 to September 24, 2021.
Meanwhile, the trust of Indian labor as a whole remained stable with a composite score of +55 from July 31 to September 24, despite drastic transformation in the world.
About 1 in 3 optimistic professionals about job availability (36%) and increased control over costs (30%).
“When this pressure change has encouraged the need for greater flexibility and the balance of work life among professionals, but our survey reveals a broad gap between what employees need and employers are offered to deal with stress,” said Ashutosh Gupta, India Country Manager, LinkedIn.
Many professionals expect greater flexibility and balance of work life, and these two factors will become important talent drivers in the coming years.
For example, while almost half of (47%) hiring professionals wanting to end the work at a reasonable hour, only about one thirds (36%) can actually do it.
While 41% planned for free time, only 30% can do it in the past two months.
“Average statistics reflect the urgency for companies to understand how to create a culture that encourages the balance of work life and prioritizing welfare is very important to advance,” Gupta said the survey also found some differences between generations, with younger professionals found it easier to take .
Rest from older.
Millennials 2x is more likely to take rest time, while Gen Zers are more likely to rest during the day, compared to Baby Boomers.
Boomers 1.5x are more likely to open with their colleagues about mental and stressful health compared to Millennials and professional Z professionals.
