Greater Noida: A 55-year-old man was shot dead, as soon as he left his house, in the Dadri area in Greater Noida on Wednesday afternoon, police said.
Initial investigations showed the involvement of the male son, Lokesh, who had fled since the incident.
According to the police, Lokesh wanted his father, Vipattram, to transfer a 55-year-old property with his name, and both of them fight for this issue several times in the past.
“The incident occurred around 2:00 p.m.
on Jalan Chelta, leading to the village of Palla in Greater Noida.
Vipatram was shot dead by an unknown person.
He has left his house just five minutes before the incident happened,” said a senior noida officer.
It was a local resident in the area who informed the police about the incident, and soon after, the police team was sent to the place and the man rushed to the hospital.
“Vipattram was declared dead on arrival by the hospital authority.
The male family member was told about the incident.
His wife had said that he suspected the involvement of their association, Lokesh, behind the incident,” the officer said.
The woman told the police that Lokesh used to fight with Vipatram and wanted to get the last property with his name.
“They used to fight and arguments on the property often.
The family has also arranged a Panchayat meeting about property issues a few days ago, where Lokesh threatened to kill his parents.
On Wednesday afternoon when Vipattram left home, Lokesh also left the house at Santructil and allegedly killed him, “the officer said.
The case below section 302 (killing) from Indian Criminal Code has been registered against Lokesh after complaint.
“Two teams have been formed for NAB Lokesh, who escaped.

The arrest will be done soon,” the officer said.
