Guwahati: More than 56% of Covid patients reported in Assam in the third wave since January 1 have taken their second dose, while 11.3% vaccinated with the first dose but still changed positively.
Senior Health Department official said the data compiled by the department has revealed that vaccination cannot prevent infection, especially when a very contagious variant such as Omicron has been applied to the community, but has reduced the severity of the disease between vaccination.
Minister of Himanta’s minister Buswa Sarma on Sunday said inpatient less than 12% during the third wave in Assam.
In the wise positive case of the district, vaccination status from 1 to 20 January said a total of 57,292 positive cases were detected in the state.
