Thiruvananthapuram: The country witnessed 5,754 positive cases of 63,534 samples tested in the last 24 hours.
Among new cases detected, 4,896 people had taken vaccinations, 2,557 had taken both doses, and 1,470 had not even taken a single dose.
The current total active case is 61,348, where 6.8% of people are accepted both in hospitals or other care centers.
Meanwhile, 49 Covid deaths have been reported, taking dead in the country to 37,051.
At the same time, 6,489 patients have recovered from this disease.
Among new cases, 5,382 cases have been infected through local deployment.
Ernakulam reported the highest number of cases with 1,109, followed by Thiruvananthapuram (929).
There are 2,04,266 people currently observing in various districts, where 1,99,044 are at home or institutional quarantine center, and 5,222 in isolation in hospitals.
