New Delhi: More than 5,800 security personnel have been killed in Jammu and Kashmir since the beginning of terrorism in 1989, Lok Sabha was informed on Tuesday.
Union State Minister Nityanand Rai said that Jammu and Kashmir have been influenced by sponsored terrorist violence and supported by all borders.
“Since the beginning of terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir (from 1989 to 5 August 2019), 5,886 security personnel were killed in Jammu and Kashmir in a terrorist incident,” he said in a written reply for a question.
