Nagpur: A 59-year-old comorbid man died in Covid-19 at a private hospital on Wednesday night.
The deceased, residents of Pratap Nagar, were fully vaccinated.
The known case of a throat cancer, the deceased has been received in hospitals with complaints of shortness of breath and carried with tracheostomy.
This was the first death of a resident of Nagpur after August 12, 2021.
It took Covid City victims to 5,895 and district 10,125.

The hospital told Tii that the 59-year-old claimed to follow pneumonia.
“He was taken by O2 support on January 9.
The Covid test was carried out on the same day and he tested positive.
He was given remdesivir but his condition did not improve.
He was placed in a ventilator but he died on January 12,” said the hospital.
Residents of the 79-year-old Siddartha Nagar in the Ashi Nagar zone were taken as another covid death.
The NMC Chief Medical Officer Dr.
Sanjay Chilkar said the old man was the case of incidental findings, and it would be reconciled.
The 79-year-old man was treated at the IgGmch Ward on January 12 after a heart attack at home.
“He died on the same night while his RPCR report became positive on Thursday.
This is an incidental finding and cannot be considered a Covid death,” IGGMCH officials said.
A relative who was confirmed to the Toi that the man was fully vaccinated three months ago, and not a covid patient at the time of entering.
“The hospital was then called to say that the sample was positive,” said relatively.
The Zonal NMC medical team cannot track families, which are busy in the final ceremony.
This caused confusion about the man’s covid status.
Relatively said that the body was not handed over to them but was taken directly to the crematorium.
This is the fifth case of this month when Covid’s positive status was later known as the incidental findings after the person died of another cause.
Officials said such cases would increase with the spread of omicron.
