Pune: Metropolitan Pune (PMR) area on Tuesday adds 6,110 Covid cases with the PMC area that has most of them (3,459).
A total of 1,706 new cases were reported from the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) region, while rural areas and Cantonese added 945 patients.
Although the number of cases in Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) rose from Monday 3,067, the calculation remained under 4,000 for the second day in a row.
A total of 14,983 samples were tested in the PMC area on Tuesday, which encouraged progressive testing exceeding 40 lakh within the city limits.
A report released by Bhagwan Pawar District Health Officer stated that 28,999 samples were tested in the area on Tuesday for infection.
About 8,774 tests were carried out within the PCMC limit and 5,242 at rural and Cantonese boundaries.
One victim, caused by transmission, was reported from the PMC limit.
There were no deaths reported from other parts of the region.
The increase in daily release continued in the region on Tuesday, with 1,638 patients declared cured.
