VIUDHUNAGAR: The District Police of Virudhunagar has registered five cases against six people involved in making crackers in their homes.
S K Raviraj, who is the administrative officer of the village of Thayilpatti, is conducting routine inspections on Tuesday.
He found two people – Karthik, 29, and Kirubaidass, 24 – Cracker manufacturing illegally inside the house.
Based on complaints Raviraj, the Vembakottai police registered the case and arrested the duo.
The Vembakottai police have also registered four separate cases of four more people found as crackers illegally in their homes in the village of Thayilpatti and Sevalpatti.
