Milwaukee: Six people were found dead at Milwaukee’s house in what the police triggered when several murders, the authorities said.
Milwaukee police responded around 3:45 a.m.
to help with a welfare check at the residence where four men and one woman were found dead, Milwaukee Police Assistant Chief Paul Formolo said at a press conference Sunday night.
The Milwaukee County medical examiner office tweeted on early Monday that additional people, a man, recovered from home.
The identity of the dead is waiting.
The motives and information about the suspect are not immediately known, Formolo said.
The police have not said what caused death, but Formolo said there was no information to suggest that there was a threat to the community.
“It is important not to feel numbness by ongoing violence in our community.
Horrible crime has happened again,” said Milwaukee Major Cavalier Johnson said in a statement on Sunday night.
Autopsy will be done Monday, according to medical examiners.
“The story of the recent violence is a smart reminder of work that still handles the root causes of violent crime in our city,” said Milwaukee County Sheriff Earnell R Lucas.
