6 died in Saurashtra Monsun Mayhem, almost 5rb shifted

Ahmedabad: The heaviest journey of this monsoon in the rain-deficit Saurashtra left many villages diorated because the rain continued to trigger a flash flood and truly paralyzed normal life in Rajkot and Jamnagar.
Official sources confirmed the death of six people in both districts in the incident related to rain.
Nearly 5,000 people shifted to a safer location in the two districts because of the marine regions began to be flooded while around 1,00 were stranded by the National Disaster Response (NDRF) and Air Force teams.
As many as 50 people – 35 in Jamnagar – must be flown when the village turns into an island.
Lodhika, an industrial cluster adjacent to Rajkot, recorded the heaviest rainfall with almost 516 mm recorded on Monday.
Car owners can only watch without power when turbulent waters sweep at least 12 vehicles in both cities.
The boat is the only way to travel in many areas of Rajkot and People’s city because all the main roads, lanes and underpass are underwater due to heavy rain.
In Rajkot, the NDRF team must be flown from Punjab and more teams have been summoned as a threat of floods of weaving due to increasing water content in the AJI-2 dam.
The rain deficit narrowed: Gujarat’s rain deficit narrowed further by 14.5% after a good spell for the past week.
Until Monday night, the state received 64.5% of its seasonal rainfall, which was 50% on September 6.
