New Delhi: Six people, including two women and a 18-month-old boy, was injured after a container truck loaded upside down and fell in their van in the Wazirabad North Delhi area on Monday morning, police said.
The truck driver escaped from the place after the incident, police said, added an attempt to track it.
The accident took place on the ring road around 6am, they said.
The police said six people, including two women and a 18-month-old boy, traveled in Van.
They came from the Dwarka side and headed to Baghpat at Uttar Pradesh.
When the police reached the place, they found that the container truck had been upside down at Eeco Van, injuring six people.
While four of them were initially saved and immediately sent to the nearest hospital, two other people were trapped inside being saved by cutting the vehicle roof after lifting the container contained, said a senior police officer.
The container published carrying pulses was revoked using a crane, he said.
All six injuries were shifted to the hospital.
Some of them have fractures while others have minor injuries, he added.
Two of those injured had been sent back after other temporary treatments were still being treated at the hospital, the officer said.
Truck drivers are not found in place.
Both vans and trucks were removed from the place and traffic had been normalized, police said.
The case has been registered under Section 279 (driving rash or driving in a public way) and 337 (causing illness because it acts to endanger the life or personal safety of others) from the Criminal Code, the police said.
