Bengaluru: Three men, two women and a boy killed when a spilled tipper truck dried rushed brought the gray hit a median and fell on two cars and motorbikes on Jalan MySuru, near Kumbalagoda, on the outskirts of Bengaluru, on Monday.
The accident occurred around 7pm when the city bound truck crashed into a median and fell to the left, pouring the burden of gravel on the car and bicycle.
The deceased has been identified as Veenamma, 44, Kerianti Kumar, 40, Indra Kumar, 14, and Neetu, 29, (all the first car residents), TJ Shivaprakash (the only second car resident) and Biker Jatin B George.
George’s friends said he was 40’s and from Kerala.
He works in a private company in PEENYA.
The police have a hard time identifying victims or contacting families because their cellphones have a security key.
“We delete the SIM card from their cellphone and use it in a basic handset and find a few numbers.
We can get more details about the victims after their family and friends reach the place,” said an inquiry officer.
The bodies shifted to Rajarajeshwari Medical College and hospital for autopsy.
The truck driver escaped from the scene, leaving his vehicle behind.
The Bengaluru-Bound vehicle was stuck in 5km Snarl between Bidadi and Kumbalagoda.
The traffic from the cengeri to Bidari was reduced to crawl until 9pm.
