Gurgaon: More than six months after GMDA proposes its electric bicycle projects for the last miles connectivity, the project has not taken off due to the delay in approval on the site for the docking station.
The MoU was signed a few months ago.
A senior GMDA official said most sites for bicycle parking and charging fell under the jurisdiction of MCG and HSVP.
Permission from this department lifts the project launch.
“We have an interparty meeting under the HSVP administrator and additional CEO of GMDA Jitender Yadav and most sites have now been approved.
Now depends on Yulu about how fast they can set the station and launch the project,” the official said.
Efforts to reach Yulu because the response is not answered.
Toi has reported that GMDA has been tied with Yulu’s startup mobility to establish an e-bike standing in 40 different locations throughout the city with around 250 e-bikes.
According to GMDA sources, 250 e-bike will be available at 40 ‘Yulu Zone’.
Someone can download the Yulu application, find the nearest bicycle, use the scanner to unlock the vehicle and then use it within a 5-10 km radius from the station.
