Patna: Special Task Force (STF), with the help of the Siwan Police, arrested six more people and recovered 750GM of gold ornaments looted from the Jewellers Archana showroom under the City Police Station area in Siwan on September 20.
At least 8kg of jewelry worth more than RS3.87 Crore looted about ten armed criminals.
Showroom owner, Subhash Soni, was shot when he tried to hold back the booty.
Siwan SP Abhinav Kumar said on Sunday that they were arrested were Sandeep Kumar Yadav, his father Bhagwan Yadav from Jiyyai, Ranjan Kumar of the Area of ​​the Police Station in the District of Siwan and Raju Rai from Mirzapur under the Hathua police station in the Gopalganj District.
He said the police recovered 440GM gold from ownership of Sandeep, 104gm from Ranjan, 33GM from Kundan, 20GM from Deepu, 85GM from Bhagwan and 69GM from Raju.
“Illegal countrymade weapons also recover from Raju’s ownership.
The bicycle used in crime has also been confiscated,” he said.
SP said the police, with the help of STF, had arrested four people and recovered 5.105 kg of gold ornaments within 12 hours of booty.
He said another one who was accused of being involved in a captured case of Guthani in Siwan as he escaped with liquor.
Kumar Said Sandeep, Mohammad Saddam from Mirganj in Gopalganj and one Sonu Kumar from the Mufassil area in Siwan is the mastermind of a booty case.
“Initially, three to four people had planned a booty.
They performed receptions and found that the locality was crowded and they would need more partners to do booty,” he said.
SP said they collected more colleagues to loot it.
He said a famous villain from Deoria at Uttar Pradesh was also arrested for his involvement in booty.
He said at least half a dozen suspects involved in a case had not been arrested.
