Hyderabad: Four more students, a teacher and guard Zilla Parishad High School (ZPH), Mamidipally in Nadigama at Ranga Reddy District was tested positive Covid-19 on Tuesday.
Total, 10 (students and staff) have been tested positive at school.
“A total of 63 people, both students and staff, were tested on Tuesday and six positive,” said a teacher from school, adding that students (each) came from class 9 and 10.
The teacher said that 30 other students had not been tested because of them Absent on Tuesday.
“We are asked to prepare a list of students along with their address so that the Ministry of Health can track and test them,” Teacher added.
According to the direction of school health officials need to be temporarily closed if more than five cases are reported, but the teacher said that officials at the district level asked them to continue their physical classes for now.
“Teachers and students are afraid of 10 positively tested.
Turning off schools for two to three days for sanitis will help us, but we do not get permission from officials,” said a teacher.
P SUSEENDRA RAO, District Education Officer (DEO), Ranga Reddy, meanwhile, said that he had told the collector about school.
“Schools have been disanited, all students have been tested.
We pursue this problem and will decide whether for a while closed or not,” Deo said.
While in the government high school, Mudfort, there were no new cases reported as 131 students tested on negative Tuesdays.
The percentage of attendance, however, fell because only 131 students attended the physical class on Tuesday compared with 328 on Friday, the day before the principle (in-charge) was tested positive.
