Nagpur: In a great break for students from more than 500 universities affiliated by Nagpur University (NU), they will get a neglect of 60% fees on average for this academic session.
Notifications for this effect are likely to be issued this week.
The University of Nagpur’s Management Board has decided that students must get 100% charged for facilities that are not utilized after lockdown and 60% assistance in the lab, libraries and student welfare costs.
Depending on the course like engineering, pharmaceutical or trade, students tend to get more than 50% of wave costs.
Pro VC Sanjay Dudhe told the Toi that the activities were not detained because Covid Lockdown could not be charged.
“A committee was established and decided to reduce overall costs,” he said.
Dudhe said the decision was in line with the instructions of the state government.
Last year, because there were no decisions taken, universities continue to burden the full cost of students.
NU also appealed to students and parents that they should not pay any amount besides being determined by it and the right acceptance must be taken for the costs paid.
Advisors came after the probe led by Member Management Board Vishnu Changde found university guilty of excessive costs.
“The college prohibits students from filling out the exam form.
We ask college and find that the cost does not charge head-wise fees.
Students are also not recommended to fill in the form of scholarship.
Consider there are many cases like that, the decision has been taken to release costs Exam 75% and provide relaxation in other heads too, “he said.
Changde added that the committee also proposed to insure students for death, hospitalization, and loss of income members.
“Insurance will cover the cost of education in the event of a parent’s death.
Because many students lose members of income in the family to Covid, this decision was taken,” he said.
