Pune: Private Forecaster Skymet on Monday reduce the forecast of the monsoon and say there is a 60% chance under normal rainfall this year for the entire rainy season.
It is said that Monsoon’s rain is likely to be 94% of the Long Period average (LPA) with a margin of error + or -4%.
The Indian Monsun LPA for the season period from June to September is 880.6mm.
It was on April 13, the 2021 Monsoon Prediction became a “normal healthy” at 103% (with a margin of error +/- 5%) from LPA.
The Indian Meteorology Department, the National Weather Forecast Agency, has not made a comment in the context.
On Monday, Skymet said Gujarat, Rajasthan, Odisha, Kerala and Northeast India would likely end with a rainfall, while there was a “drought” opportunity in Gujarat and Barat Rajasthan.
