New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said that around 60 percent of teenagers in the age group 15 to 18 years were vaccinated.
The prime minister also said that within 20 days, one crore had taken a preventive dose too.
Overcoming its monthly radio program ‘Mann Ki Baat’, the Prime Minister said that India struggled with success with Corona’s new wave, “this is also a matter of pride until now about four and half crore children have been given a dose of the corona vaccine”.
“This means that around 60 percent of youth in the age group 15 to 18 years have received their vaccine within three to four weeks.
This will not only protect our youth but will also help them to continue their studies.
Another good thing is that Within 20 days, one crore has taken a dose of prevention too, “said Prime Minister.
He mentioned that now the case of Corona infection also began to decline and this was a very positive sign.
“People must be safe, the rate of state economic activities must be maintained – this is the desire of every country,” he said.
‘Mann Ki Baat’ Sunday is the first episode of 2022 and Prime Minister who remembers Mahatma Gandhi at the commemoration of his death.
