Mumbai: The Japanese company Rakuten has made 26 offers at IIT Bombay Powai campus – the highest of any international company this year.
Uber remain the highest payers in most IITs including IIT Bombay, with a package of Rs 2:17 crore (or $ 287 550).
So far this season, IIT Kanpur has attracted major recruiters like Axtria, EXL, Graviton, Goldman Sachs, ICICI Bank, Intel, Microsoft, Ola, Section, Samsung, Quadeye, Uber Analytics.
Spokesman IIT Kanpur said, “This institution has witnessed the trend of hiring excellent in the sector this time.

Compared with previous editions, this year’s placement is a quick affair, said the head of IIT-Roorkee Placement Vinay Sharma.
“What takes 45 days last year and a lot of effort has been made in 84 hours,” he told Toi, referring to mark 1,000 deals.
Interestingly, while last year saw a slow stream of recruitment this year rather quickly, and the first five days to explain that the final count will be better than 2020.
At IIT Roorkee, a total of 1,171 deals done until day 8 and 11 students won him a job with a compensation of Rs 1 crore-plus.

IIT-Hyderabad has closed the first phase of the placement of the week, see 466 offers, including 34 international offers made from 104 companies.
In total, about 650 students have signed up for the placement.
Phase 1 saw a total of 210 companies were registered compared with about 116 in Phase-1 of last year.
A total of 195 companies have registered in the whole of last year (2020-21).
Including pre-placement offers received (PPO), a total of 427 students have been placed.
This represents an increase last year when students put 305 (including 49 PPO).
