Noida / Ghaziabad: A 60-year-old man who was treated at a private hospital with Covid, died on Saturday, the third death was related to infection in Gautam Budh Nagar since December 1 last year.
District health officials said patients suffered from komorbid conditions, including chronic obstructive tuberculosis and lung disease (COPD).
So far, 469 people have given up on diseases in the district.
As 1,873 people tested positive infections in the last 24 hours in the district, pushing the active cases to 12,526.
So far, 145 people have been received in various hospitals in Noida.
In neighboring Ghaziabad, 1,371 new cases were reported, it catapulted the active case to 10,801.
Until Saturday, 10,166 people were in house isolation while 61 people recovered at Ghaziabad Hospital, officials said.
A total of 1,224 other people completed their mandatory home isolation in the last 24 hours, they said.
In January, Ghaziabad officials said, a total of 1,17,600 samples were tested and the level of participation reached 10.9%.
In the last 24 hours, the district’s peposititivity level has been recorded at 21%, while 25% in GB Nagar in the same period.
VAXXED 24K in Gzbon Saturday, a total of 24,729 people were vaccinated in 242 government facilities and nine private centers in Ghaziabad.
In Noida, 11,532 recipients were vaccinated in 59 government facilities and 29 private centers.
