KABUL: The State Intelligence Department has claimed that at least 600 ISIS (DAESH) terrorists have been arrested in the last three months in Afghanistan, reporting local media.
“In some parts of the country, nearly 600 Daesh members involved in subversive actions and murders detained Information and media center of government.
The statement occurred when regional countries had repeatedly raised their concerns over ISIS activities in a war-hit country.
Isis has made several attacks in recent weeks, including the twin bombing of a military hospital in Kabul last week, which killed at least 19 people, reported sputnik.
The terror group claimed a massive suicide bombing in Kandahar, in addition to arranging targeted killings in Nangarhar and Parwanese provinces and other big suicide bombings at the Shiite Community Mosque in the North Kunduz Province, killing more than 100 people.
