Pune: The district on Tuesday crossed a milestone from the 60 lakh residents who fully vaccinated against Covid-19 with vaccination of more than 50,000 beneficiaries.
Cowin data suggested that around 94 doses of lakh (first and second) were given to the age group 18-44.
More than 20 doses of lakh have been managed in the age group above 60 so far.
The Public Health Department official claims that the district has many doses to continue the vaccination smoothly for the second dose recipient.
A official said the Har Ghar Dastak campaign began in November proved to be one of the important spotlight of drive vaccination.
“Many people are not vaccinated and those who are due for the second dose are identified through it,” the official said.
District health officials focus on rural areas of Pune at this time on vaccination fronts.
About two lakh people who are not vaccinated in these pockets, while around five lakh people will be their second dose.
A total of 52,929 beneficiaries were vaccinated in all regions of 658 governments and private vaccination sites until 8pm on Tuesday.
