New Delhi: The majority of Indians are ready to take the 3rd dose of Covid vaccines if available in the next 6 months, according to the survey conducted by Localcircles.
When asked about the willingness to take the covid vaccine booster dose, 61% of residents in the survey said “Yes, of course”.
The other 27% said, “Yes, but only if Covid or tends to be common when the 3rd dose is available”.
Only 6% of residents say “no, they will not take it”, and the other 6% have no opinion.
The question in this survey received 9,245 responses.
The survey showed that only 12% of residents were hesitant for the 3rd dose of covid vaccines or hesitant at this time.
Many respondents believe that Covid’s risk is still out there because of poor compliance with masking and social blasphemy norms.
Experience other countries also show that cases can rise again in a few months from now.
People also believe that all unlocked economic activities and schools working with full presence are factors that might cause a Covid case increase and hence the 3rd dose is so available will help them remain protected.
Surveys were carried out in 301 districts.
68% of respondents are male while 32% of respondents are women.
43% of respondents coming from Tier 1, 29% of Tier 2 and 28% of respondents coming from Tier 3, 4 and rural levels.
