New Delhi: A 61-year-old man ended his life after allegedly killing his 53-year-old wife in their home in South Vasant Kunjung Delhi on Thursday night.
The incident occurred when the 16-year-old son of the couple studied in a side by side.
Police request Introduction Finding the couple often fighting and this might be the reason for the murder.
The deceased was identified as Jahid Ali, 61, and his wife as Nazneen, 53.
The couple came from Odisha and lived in Vasant Kunj in South Delhi.
Around 7:30 p.m.
on Thursday, some neighbors of the couple called the police to tell them that the body could be seen hanging in the room and a woman hit her dead at home.
A police team reached the site and saw Nazneen fainting on the floor in a pool of blood while Ali’s body depends on the ceiling.
The two bodies were sent to the hospital where doctors confirmed their deaths and sent them to post-mortem examination.
Ingit Pratap Singh, DCP (Southwest), said they received a call at 7:50 p.m.

“The crime scene inspection showed that Ali beat his wife with a heavy and blunt object and he fainted.
He continued to hit him until he died.
He then went to his room and hung himself,” said Singh.
The police revealed that all of this while the son of the couple, who was a class XII student, was studying in a room adjacent to the murder place.
He heard his parents arguing.
When he came later to examine his parents, he saw his mother vulnerable on the floor and his father’s body hanging from the ceiling.
He rushed out and screamed help from his neighbor.
DCP Singh said the crime and forensic team explored the place of instructions.
“The initial findings show that murder and suicide occur after one of the frequent fights between partners.
The case has been registered and all angles are likely to be seen,” he said.
Police said Ali came from Odisha and property belonged to the property there.
He does not have a job in Delhi and his wife’s family often sends the daily needs of the family.
Some relatives claim that the couple often fights and a case also occurs.
According to Meem’s sister, her sister was allegedly killed by her husband who then hanged himself.
“The case related to their relationship is taking place and they often fight.
They married in 1990,” Moeme said.
“Both, in fact, submitted several complaints from each other, even though there was no substantial coming from them.
But today, this extreme thing happened.”
