Thiruvananthapuram: At least 62% of school students at the age of shelter have received the Covid-19 vaccine such as on Saturday, informing the Minister of Public Education V Sivankutty.
The department, in relation to the Ministry of Health, has established a covid vaccination center in 967 state schools.
Children aged between 15 and 18 years have been given a vaccine from certain schools since January 3.
The number of vaccination centers at the highest school in Malappuram (159) and the lowest in Pathamthitta (22).
School authorities have been given instructions to upload details of vaccination progress on the ‘Sampoorna’ Portal Department of General Education.
The Minister of Education said there was truth on charges that online classes for school students faced challenges.
Online classes for students from class 8 to 12 have progressed without obstacles.
Online classes are held on a customized G Suite platform.

Students and other teachers have received a login ID, he said.
According to Sivakutty, 45,313 laptops are distributed to all ST students as part of the ‘Vidya Kiranam’ project.
Apart from this, instructions have been given to notify students who need 1.2 laptops deployed at school.
