NEW DELHI: A 62-year-old lady was sexually assaulted and stabbed to death at west Delhi’s New Ashok Nagar on Sunday afternoon.
The entire body of this girl with over 25 stab wounds had been found at her home with her son that had been outside for work once the incident happened.
Authorities have detained a 30-year-old guy for the offense.
A sickle employed in the offense was recovered from the area.
According to authorities, the murder has been reported on New Ashok Nagar police station from Dharmshila Hospital.
The victim lived close Peepal Chowk in village Dallupura in east Delhi.
During a preliminary investigation, it was discovered that the older woman lived with her son Chandan who acts as a security guard at a financial institution.
She was employed as a vegetable seller and also on Sunday afternoonshe had gone home requesting her grandson to care for the store when she had been targeted.
Initial medical evaluation revealed that the girl’s throat was slit with a sharp-edged weapon.
She had several sharp injuries to her belly.
A case of murder has been filed to probe the departure.
Deputy commissioner of police (east) Priyanka Kashyap reported that through analysis, the police group gathered and assessed CCTV footage of this area in addition to put informers to collect clues.
“With the support of all CCTV footage, our staff zeroed in on a defendant who had been seen leaving the girl’s house in the right time of murder.
He remained in the girl’s home for approximately 20 minutes.
With the support of local intellect, the defendant is recognized as Vipin Dedha, a 30-year-old resident of the identical village.
Observing a stunt, Dedha was interrogated at period during which he confessed to have killed the girl,” that the DCP said.
The accused was drunk once the incident happened.
He murdered her after attacking her since he feared she’d recognise him because they had been acquainted with one another.
The spouse of the accused had abandoned him he dwelt alone.
“He had been detained.
On his case, the weapon of danger, a sickle, was recovered.
Prima facie, it seems to be an instance of murder and rape.
The girl’s autopsy reports are likely to establish whether she had been sexually attacked,” the officer stated.
The girl belonged to Begusarai at Bihar.
While she dwelt with her younger kid at Delhi, her older son lived at a village along with his loved ones.
