By Mayukh Sengupta Kolkata: a 62-year-old woman who lives alone with the help of domestic in Bangur Avenue in Lake Town found killed at her home on Wednesday morning.
The house was searched and some ornaments and valuables were lost.
Domestic assistance – who came from outside Bengal had joined work a week ago – lost and police looked for him as the main suspect in this case.
The woman was found lying in her bed in bed with towels wrapped around her neck.
His body had begun to break down and the police suspected he was suffocated to death a few days ago.
The neighbor told the police they did not see the woman since Monday.
“A mineral water supplier tells the neighbors that nobody responds to a repeat beat for two days.
Our officers reached the house and found the woman died in her bedroom and Almirahs was searched,” said an officer of Bidhannagar Commissioner.
The woman’s son lives in Teghoria and daughter in Salt Lake.
They said that in 2019, the woman had been to Mumbai where she lived in a hotel and met with domestic help.
