Noida / Ghaziabad: Gautam District Administration Budh Nagar and Ghaziabad has received a large number of applications for compensation from the family of victims of Covid-19 whose details are not in the state government portal.
The government provides financial assistance of 50,000 Rs to the families of each person who died of a viral infection up.
According to data from the health department of the two districts, 468 people at GB Nagar and 461 in Ghaziabad had died of Covid.
But the number of applications for compensation in GB Nagar so far is 626, where the details of 326 (52%) are not covid portals.
This figure is around 160 (43%) of a total of 374 applications in Ghaziabad.
Asked why the number of applications was much higher, officials quoted the latest state government, which they said had expanded the ambition to identify Covid deaths.
Gautam BDH Nagar ADM (Finance and Revenue) Vandita Srivastava, who is a Nodal officer from the Covid-19 Paste Committee, said: “According to the latest guidelines, people who commit suicide within 30 days in the Covid contract have also been included in compensation .
Likewise, if someone died because the hospital within 30 days from the date of the positive test reports Covid or clinically diagnosed as Covid, the case will be treated as deaths Covid.
“Srivastava said about 450 applications have been approved so far.
Of the 468 deaths mentioned in the portal, 91 came from other cities such as Bulandshahr and Lucknow to GB Nagar for care and then died.
When the RT-PCR report they were produced from here, their records were uploaded on the district portal, he said.
“Efforts are being carried out so that all of them get compensation by the administrative district of the appropriate hometown.
Likewise, many GB Nagar residents die in other cities and other countries, but their family members have been implemented here.
They will also be compensated, “He added.
In Ghaziabad, 375 applications have been accepted.
Of this 214 are those with details in the portal, and 189 of them have been approved.
Ghaziabad ADM (Finance and Revenue) Vivek Srivastava told that there are around 160 applications that details are not on the portal, where 77 has been approved until now.
The source in the department said the only detail of those who died at the Covid hospital identified by the government was uploaded on the portal.
Many other people get care at home and other hospitals and die during treatment, but the details of such cases are not uploaded.
