626 Poeples include 228 Indians evacuated from Afghanistan so far: Hardeep Singh Puri

New Delhi: Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri on Tuesday informed that a total of 626 people including 228 Indians had been evacuated from Afghanistan until now.
He also told them, 77 was Sikh Afghanistan.
The number of Indians was evacuated not including those who worked at the Indian Embassy, ​​Puri added.

“Sirar that has come (from Afghanistan) has been grateful to PM Modi and Mother India that we can provide a place of sanctuise and comfort for people in trouble, especially to Hindu and Sikh,” he added.
Speaking of recent tweets about the citizenship amendment law (CAA), Hardeep Singh Puri said, “The same person who opposes the CAA law when applied to demand to adjust the cut-off date today.” Sharing news articles, Puri has tweeted on August 22, “The last development in our environment that easily evaporates and the way Sikh and Hinduism experience a terrible time is exactly why it is necessary to enact the citizenship amendment law.”
